Volunteer Programme

Manchester Caribbean Carnival is always looking for culturally aware and creative people to join our volunteer team. You can volunteer in projects during the preparation stage, or join us for Carnival weekend!

The Manchester Caribbean Carnival Volunteer Programme engages with people aged 18yrs and over from all backgrounds in supporting our annual carnival. The Programme creates a platform for volunteers to add value to the event, whilst giving opportunities to develop new skills, gain confidence, meet new friends and have fun!

We have many different roles you can do to help us deliver a successful carnival event. Have a look at this list to see the areas where you can get involved:

  • Event ambassador.
  • Parade Marshall.
  • Backstage Support.
  • Hospitality.
  • Social Media Management support
  • Event management support.

If you are interested, get in touch with us for further details.

Are you interested in occasional 'on call' work?

    Is English your primary language?

If any, what other languages do you speak?

I am interested in volunteering because...

What skills & experience you would bring to the carnival Festival, e.g. community organisations, first aid, working with diverse cultures, working at other festivals?)

I would particularly like to develop the following skills & knowledge.

If you have any access requirements or health conditions (e.g. medication or allergies etc.) that we should know about please tell us here.

Do you have any convictions which are unspent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974? Having a conviction doesn't mean you can't volunteer with us. When we talk about your application we can discuss any convictions then.
